Heritage cottage garden surrounding 1880s house with walled secret garden incorporating the owner’s sculptures and potager. The current owner has made every endeavour to replicate the sorts of plantings which were common to homes built in the era of Thornleigh’s construction, not only in respect of a residential garden of the period, but also a source of produce for home use. The cottage garden has hundreds of bulbs, annuals, herbaceous perennials as well as heritage trees and roses.

Thornleigh is opening as one of four Bungendore gardens. Visitors can see all four gardens for an entry fee of $15. Members and Visitors will start at either Fox’s Folly or Fieldstone and will receive a map and a ticket which provides entry to all four. Please bring the correct money for the entrance fee to make it easier for our volunteers.
