CIT Horticulture Scholarship
Open gardens Canberra sponsors an annual Horticulture Scholarship. The Open Gardens Canberra Scholarship provides an exciting opportunity for a non-apprenticed CIT student in any horticulture stream to receive financial assistance with their studies.
One scholarship for the value of $2,000, provided in two payments, is available to students who have successfully completed eight Units of Competency. The Open Gardens Canberra Scholarship can be used towards CIT tuition fees, textbooks and equipment.
In addition to the scholarship, the successful recipient will be invited to assist Open Gardens Canberra in practical activities such as inspection and selection visits to Canberra and region gardens wishing to open to the public, preparation visits before opening and helping on an open day.
The scholarship is offered with the assistance of Julie Collins (CIT Head of Dept of Horticulture and Floristry).
Applications for 2024 will open in Term 2 2024 and close on Friday 6 December.
