Mitchell Community Garden

10am to 4pm, 27th and 28th March 2021

The Mitchell Community Garden is one of 12 community gardens operated by the Canberra Organic Growers Society (COGS) and has been operating since 1994. Gardeners are allocated individual plots, which they put to productive use, growing organic food for themselves and their families using sustainable organic gardening practices. A mix of different cultures among the plot-holders (includes Asian, African, Indian) is reflected in the crops grown.
The emphasis is on community with plot holders sharing the care of the garden, the communal fruit trees and Donation Garden, and working bees to help to maintain the common areas and equipment.

Seeds, seedlings and vegetables may be for sale and gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions.

More information about the garden is available in the  Mitchell Garden Brochure 2021.

Note: Mulch paths
