Langdene

10am to 4pm, 13th and 14th April 2019

This cottage style garden surrounds one of Queanbeyan’s heritage listed homestead buildings. Large trees, perennials, shrubs and groundcovers combine to provide a changing landscape. Among the plantings of trees, shrubs and flowering perennials are zones for conifers, ferns, true geraniums, kniphofias and sages. A range of groundcovers is a feature of the gardens, helping to reduce soil water loss and control weeds. There are special plants of interest including clematis and fuschia species.
Sustainability features includes composting bins, mulching and a system of rainwater tanks having 38,000 litre capacity, linked to irrigation systems.

Let jazz pianist, Wayne Kelly, entertain you as you wander the garden. Wayne will be playing on Saturday from 11am to 3pm and on Sunday from 12.30 to 2 pm. There will also be a sausage sizzle.
