Dual delights: Christine’s Garden and the Blended Garden
10am to 4pm, 10th and 11th April 2021
Two delightful gardens just 200 metres apart in Gowrie and Fadden.
BOOKING:
- Eventbrite bookings are required for all members and visitors except children.
- Special ticket prices apply to these two gardens – $15.00 for both gardens.
- Members of Open Gardens Canberra will receive information on obtaining their free tickets.
Christine’s Garden
This very large and ever-popular garden contains an amazing variety of plants. Rock walls allow for built up garden beds with improved soil and drainage. English box hedges divide areas including a parterre garden. Large mirrors on the boundary fences create illusions of depth. Deciduous trees provide for Autumn colour. There will be plenty of plants for sale and a scavenger hunt for children.

The Blended Garden
The Blended Garden is a small water wise garden blending the old with the new; native with non-natives; and productive with ornamental. In the Blended Garden the owner has evolved the garden from landscaped lawns to a water wise garden with a variety of trees under planted with shrubs and groundcovers. The garden includes vegetable gardens with raised beds, compost bins and water tanks. Available for sale will be Mosaics by Merryl and garden themed artworks by Carolyn.

| Member entry: | Garden entry is free for members. |
| Visitor entry: | Garden entry is $10.00 for visitors 18 years and over. Special pricing may apply to some openings. |
| Memberships: | Join Open Gardens Canberra for only $30 and all gardens are free for the membership year (to end June). |
