Diana’s Garden

10am to 4pm, 24th and 25th October 2020

This mature stroll garden has been inspired by garden tours to the United Kingdom.

The owner has established this mature garden over the last 30+ years, using ideas gained from garden tours to the United Kingdom and Europe to great effect. Visitors to the garden are invited to stroll across the gently sloping lawn, dotted with flowering bulbs.

Camellias form the framework of the garden, and traditional spring favourites such as dogwoods, weeping cherries, rhododendrons, and coral bark maples are complemented by climbers such as pink wisteria, a grape vine, and a climbing hydrangea. Highlights of the garden in late spring include a wide variety of roses including miniature, climbing, hybrid musk, and roses bred by David Austin and the Australian breeder Alister Clark. Also flowering are a Janet Waterhouse camellia, pieris, peonies, and aquilegia. A Rhododendron Fragrantissimum lends a delightful scent to the whole garden.

Garden Notes and a plant list are available.

Members of Open Gardens Canberra should use the link in the email you received to reserve tickets to this event. Visitors can book on Eventbrite.

Gently sloping lawns make this garden not accessible to wheelchairs.
