DESCRIPTION:Two delightful gardens just 200 metres apart in Gowrie and Fadden. \nBOOKING: \n\nEventbrite bookings are required for all members and visitors except children.\nSpecial ticket prices apply to these two gardens – $15.00 for both gardens.\nMembers of Open Gardens Canberra will receive information on obtaining their free tickets.\n\nChristine’s Garden\nThis very large and ever-popular garden contains an amazing variety of plants. Rock walls allow for built up garden beds with improved soil and drainage. English box hedges divide areas including a parterre garden. Large mirrors on the boundary fences create illusions of depth. Deciduous trees provide for Autumn colour.  There will be plenty of plants for sale and a scavenger hunt for children. \n   \n  \n  \nChristine’s Garden Notes 2019 \nSupported charity: Cure Brain Cancer Foundation \n\nThe Blended Garden\nThe Blended Garden is a small water wise garden blending the old with the new; native with non-natives; and productive with ornamental. In the Blended Garden the owner has evolved the garden from landscaped lawns to a water wise garden with a variety of trees under planted with shrubs and groundcovers. The garden includes vegetable gardens with raised beds\, compost bins and water tanks. Available for sale will be Mosaics by Merryl and garden themed artworks by Carolyn. \nSupported charity: Muscular Dystrophy Association \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:A gardener’s garden completely redeveloped over the past eleven years on a 930 sq m Canberra block and designed to provide colour and interest all year round. Includes many sculptures plus stone walls and bird baths. Pine bark mulch\, drippers and no lawn make it a low maintenance garden. Hidden behind lattice at the rear are productive raised veggie beds\, fruit trees\, a covered potting area and composting production. \nThe Baker Garden Notes are available. \nBOOKING: \n\nEventbrite bookings are required for all members and visitors except children.\nMembers of Open Gardens Canberra will receive information on obtaining their free tickets.\n\nPARKING: Parking is limited. Visitors can also park in Bremer Street and use the walkway next to the block. \n   \n  \n  \nSupported charity: The Climate Council.
